Marc,
I used the knock-off K&N filters that Moss sells (#223-230) and the full
carb spacers on the HIF's I installed on the 79B. I just had to dent the
mesh on the back filter a little to fit around the servo.

them through a bandsaw - I'd think that would get a pretty clean cut. I
wound up buying the thinner spacers (Moss part 372-325, I believe), even
with the conical K&N filters, and then grinding the heat shield to prevent
the linkage from hanging up because of the reduced clearance.

Dual HIF conversion. What's the best way to cut them, and what is the
minimum thickness that I should consider?
