New Motor Mounts

Hey Listers!

After many, many, many years, I have finally put the engine back in my '66B. 
However, it appears that the new front engine mounts aren't compressing 
adequately for me to install the bolts. Should I just wait for them to 
settle in? Or, should I start beating them with a BF hammer?
