If i recall from my days on the Spridget list, the crack of doom (the crack
stemming downward from aft of the door quarter window) is caused commonly by
closing the door using the window as a handle. Or even in the case of an
aged car, with worn door seals, the window will press against the windshield
frame slightly harder than it should when the door is shut or when going
over less than perfect roads.
So while maybe not fixing the sagging problem, some new rubber around the
doors should help it from happening again!
