Well, the mystery continues. The front wheels are just fine. But the rears
look like crap. Even stranger, the right rear is much worse than left. Don't
know why. I took some chrome cleaner/polish and a toothbrush to it but it's
really stubborn. Worse, I think it's eating through the chrome, leaving a
rough area; possibly pitted. It sure looks like rust -- brownish tiny flecks
that don't want to be removed. I'm gonna remove the wheel and check for any
kind of leak but I don't see any obvious evidence right now. Could this be a
defective chrome job by the manufacturer? The wheels came with the car and
were immaculate when I got em. I've had the car 3 years.
Appreciate any thoughts you guys have.
