Thanks for the answer. That should keep the inspector happy. I have a copy
of Clausager's 'Original MGB', but it never occurred to me to look in there
for the Midget (live and learn). I would guess that the same ID system
holds true for the Midget (at least it will tomorrow when I get it
inspected).
Re the 6/G mix-up: Yeah, I'm sure somebody just didn't look close enough at
that figure.
I forgot to mention that the title says it's a '73, while the Certificate of
Registration says it's a '72. Moss also notes how some states title by
year of sale rather than manufacture -- more 'splainin' to do.
With all these discrepancies, I am afraid that any doubt in the inspector's
mind may increase exponentially with each add'l problem. At some point, he
is likely to say, "Hey, wait a minute here, buddy. What are you trying to
pull?" As if dealing with government bureaucrats wasn't enough fun already.
