In seeking a replacement for the blown-out core plug in my MGA race car, I paid a visit to my local NAPA store. After some creative searching through their parts books, we came up with a part number for a copper screw-type expansion plug in the correct 1 5/8" size. Balknap 600-4028. They're about $4 and look like a good addition to a spares kit, since they can be installed as easily as the rubber emergency core plugs and will be as permanent as the pound-in kind. Cheers Gary |
