I agree, that should be the wire for the pre-heater: Moss part #
373-765, and listed as N/A. I still have it on my car with the HIF44 as
a spacer between the carb and the manifold, but I'm pretty sure it is
inoperative (although I've never taken the time to test it). As for
that missing molded connector on the fan thermostat, maybe you could
fabricate something? Take the thermostat to your local electrical parts
store and see if they have single round female connectors of a similar
diameter. They remind me of those connectors that come on aftermarket
car radio speaker wires. I think they're also similar to the connectors
for the anti run-on valve. Or, you might be able to solder male spade
connectors to the pins and then female connectors to the wires? (Just
thinking out loud here...I don't have the car in front of me for
reference...). Worst case scenario: Put some alligator clips on the
wire ends and use those till you figure something out more permanent.
