I wouldn't be unduly concerned about 3-year-old tires coming apart, even
under spirited driving, so long as you maintain proper pressure.
Personally, I'd be a little loath to blow off the first 20,000 miles of wear
on a new set of tires in one weekend. I think you might find brand-new,
full-tread-depth tires are not the best solution for the track, anyway.
But it's yer money...
