You could always go with the EX style salt flats cars.
Friend of mine, and lister, Mike Eaton had a very successful Pinewood derby
team just last week, here is a picture.
Very proud, took first place, and a first racing trophy to boot!

let's hear it for timeless body styles that still beat the pants off
everything!
