Umm, I looked at Barney's hitch <www.mgaguru.com> to refresh my
memory, so now I must correct myself. His hitch bolts to the A's frame,
which of cuss the B doesn't have. Sorry guys.
Now, I did see one arrangement that used steel strap stock mebbe 3/8"
x 2", that ran forward from the bumper supports, under the gas tank,
then turned up to bolt to the front of the boot box. there were holes
for bolts, drilled thru the straps, the boot sheet metal and thru some
plates installed inside the boot. Then there was a piece of square
tubing welded to the straps,connecting them together under the bumper
and the hitch plate for the ball was welded to that in the center.
As I recall, what I described above was sold commercially but went out
of production because there wasn't much interest in it.
