...snip... Could the seal around the pump be bad? What seal do you mean? The 77 uses a rubber ring around the pump, but that is only to hold it in the boot. Could the pump be bad? (even though I hear the clicking) Unlikely. If it is a standard SU, constant ticking means that it is sucking air or leaking fuel on the delivery side. If you see fuel, check that the hoses from the pump are still OK and the banjo bolts are tight. Cheers, Lew Palmer P.S. I rebuild SU fuel pumps. |
