Subject: Single HIF

Dear listers,

A long time digest lurker here (Back before the Dan Scott e-mail boondogle.
Poor guy, I thought it was funny) I have a 76B with the infamous ZS carb I'd
like to remove. Does anyone on the list run a single HS6, HIF6 or HIF44 in
place
of the ZS? If so, I'm curious as to what needle and dash pot spring to run
with either the HS or HIF 6. Any other comments with this carb set up?
TIA,

Larry...from 1992 to 1999, I ran a single HIF6 from an Austin Marina with a
BBQ needle on the stock MGB combo manifold on my 1978 MGB. (It now has dual
HIF4's).

To be honest with you...I saw no great increase in performance...but made for
a GREAT conversation piece! (I know that Vicky-Brit is now offering an
HIF44...basically the same carb.

Contadct me off list for more info...
