Had this for years on all sorts of cars since asbestos was reduced or
eliminated, despite anti-squeal shims and rubber goo on the back of the
pads. Much to the amusement of my mates at the time I started greasing the
brakes - putting a smear of grease on every metal-to-metal contact point of
both front and rear brakes - and I find this helps a lot. Now you can get
proper brake grease for the job.
