Just thought I'd tell you what happened. I'd been procrastinating on
rebuilding the rocker arm assembly of my 52TD and decided that it was
time bite the bullet. Lew Palmer gave them high marks and I respect his
judgment. I removed the rocker arm assembly on Monday, June 9 and had
it back in the engine last Saturday, June 21. Most of that time was
taken up by getting it from Massachusetts to California and back. The
turn-around time was about three days. What I have now is an assembly
with a newly hard chrome plated shaft, new bushings, refaced rocker
arms, new adjusting screws and nuts and Moly coating. All this for less
than a third of the cost of new components.
