A few years ago, I bought a Gunson's Colortune kit at
an MG swap meet in Pasadena and put it away for a
rainy day. Well, when it rains, it pours: I took my
car in for emissions testing, and it failed.
The problem is I'm missing the instructions for the
Colortune. I've been able to find some documentation
both in the list archives, and at Gunson's web page,
but they don't offer their colortune manual for
download. I found part of the diagnostic chart at
http://www.aep.bigstep.com/color.htm, but the
instruction page seems incomplete.
Could someone make a color scan and e-mail it to me to
have for future reference?
I have the basic concept down: yellow is rich, white
is lean, bunson blue is good. Take it down to a lean
misfire, then back it off until the idle smooths out.
Any help is appreciated,
