When I crawled under the car to replace the rod bearings I noticed
that the rear seal was leaking. Combine that with my wanting to put in
a cam optimized for a supercharger, I'll just pull the motor after the
next track date and take care of all of these things with the motor
out.
How far "under" can one take the crank journals. I'm already .020
under, I can get .030 bearings and don't really want to discard $500
worth of balancing, nitriding and crossdrilling. Are .025 under
bearings an option? At this point I don't know if the bearings got
beat up, or if too much was taken off the crank when I ran it out of
oil and polished the journals afterwards. At 50psi on a cross drilled
crank, (sometimes dropping to 45 when really hot) it's right on the
edge of what I feel comfortable with.
Rather than running 20/50 should I put in something heavier?

I've found something worse than oldies station that play the music I used to
listen to. Oldies stations that play the "new" music I used to complain about.
