Thank you to those who gave advice during my recent rough running at
high spped trouble. Today, I replaced the fuel filter, condensor and
points. This has made a big improvement and made the carb adjustment
easier. I disconnected the vacuum advance because it seemed troublesome.
The new plugs, wires, and dizzie cap arrived yesterday and made things better.
Now, I've discovered a leak in the exhaust under the driver's seat. Some
pictures show a resonator there, but this car doesn't have one. I might
have at one time because the leak looks like it might be on a seam. Now
does anyone use the Peco exhaust system on their B? This looks like a
good value with a possible performance boost and greater durability than
a bone stock replacement. Is it necessary to buy the Peco header to use
the Peco exhaust or can I hook the Peco up to the downpipe that's
already present? Not having to buy a new header would be nice as I don't
have time or resources to install it properly.
Thank you once again,
