I just got my rebuilt SU's back for my MGA roadster. After installation, the
first time I took the car out for a drive I believe it developed vapor lock.
It stalled on me, and after sitting a few minutes it did restart. But it was
touch and go back to the hacienda. Someone told me to prevent that you should
use a metal braided fuel line between the carbs.....does this supposedly
prevent vapor lock from occuring? I have one and will install it in the next
day or so. I also want to set the timing, and check valve clearances. Is the
braided fuel line that important? TIA..........Bill in Missouri
