Each one has pros and cons.
Personally I would weld up the system. The MGB is easy to do, as the system
runs under the back axle. Once assembled, it can be dropped out in one
piece. A welded system is not going to fall apart if you hit a rock. The
liability is if you high center and bend a pipe, you won't be able to loosen
a clamp and reset the pipes.
