Barrie (and listers),
I'd offer my door glass. But on taking a look at it, I'm not sure its
"unscatched." Actually, since my BGT had many years of heavy use before
its demise, including five years in the Utah desert, the glass appears to
have lots of very light, slightly noticeable up/down scratch marks. My
guess is that sand etched the scratches, when the window was rolled up and
down. Its possible they could be polished out but may not be worth the hassle.
On a related note, I stripped my 71BGT of almost everything that could be
removed before I had the rusty carcass hauled away. So I have the doors,
the hatch, the door glass, the side windows and various other GT parts that
I do not need. The problem is that a lot of these heavy body parts have
minimal value due to the cost of shipping. Its possible, too, that I may be
moving south at some point in the future to warmer climates, if I can find
a job in Florida or Texas (SA). So I may end up throwing away some of this
stuff when or if that moment arrives. So if you or any one on the list has
an interest in these body pieces, let me know. Most of the other pieces
that were non-GT specific, have been used on my 72B restoration or have
become part of my collection of stuff I think I may need at some point.
Parts are located in Billings, Montana for those who are curious.
