Or just encode the whole thing and not bother with javascript...

Unfortunately though, many archives present your e-mail address in the
archive pages as it appeared in your mail headers.

One way to deal with this is for the archive maintainer to automatically
'mailfuscate' all e-mail addresses in the archives (that is, replacing
the letters with their code equivalents).
