Monte, My emergency brake cable was frozen also. I don't think that odd little grease fitting will actually accept grease from a standard grease gun. There was no evidence of grease inside the cable, though I had tried repeatedly to get some in. One of the adjusters was frozen. I replaced the cable and freed the adjuster at the same time, but it could well be that the adjuster was part of the problem. It appeared to me that some DPO had attempted to adjust rear brakes by pulling up on the emergency brake adjustor when he found that the correct brake adjuster was stuck.
