Monte,

Everything I have ever read on this topic is that  you should put plastic 
down on the floor and drive the car up on that to create a barrier from the 
moisture.  Never to cover the car with a non-breathable cover such as plastic 
and to put moth balls in the engine, trunk and passenger compartment.  It is 
also suggested to black the exhaust pipe to prevent critters from nesting in 
there.
