I am using NGK BP6ES in my TD and they require a standard 13/16 spark plug socket. In regards to plugs, I've tried different heat ranges of NGK and oodles of Bosch. I haven't really noticed that much difference unless one gets way out of the heat range. Perhaps it's the engine tune or condition that makes some engines more susceptible to different types.
