I don't know much about MGCs, but my guess is that its a 69.  The reason
is the high back seats.  The high back seats were the result of a new US
regulation effective Jan 1, 1969.  I had a new '69 Plymouth Roadrunner
that had low back seats as it was built prior to Jan 1, 69.  All the
later ones had the high back seats.  I suspect the situation was similar
with MG.
