Dashpot oil

I believe I remember that I should be putting 20 weight oil in the dashpots
in my carbs on my 69 BGT. When I went to the local auto parts store and
asked for "20 weight oil" I got a blank stare and a "I don't know."

Should I just get 20 weight regular engine oil? What exactly am I looking
for?
