Dennis, The automatic transmission option offered to MGB-MGC (both roadsters and GT's) buyers after late 1967 was the Borg-Warner type 35 three-speed epicyclic unit which was coupled to a hydraulic fluid torque converter. From what I can make out this automatic transmission option was discontinued in August 1973.
