KA=MG Magnette, in this instance a Magnette ZB
J=Dark Grey
4=LHD, North American export
1=Synthetic paint
33953=car number indicating a ZB made sometime in the middle
of 1958.

If this is a VIN# and not an engine number, then:

It's not a Y type which start with Y, YT, or YB
It's not a MG Magnetter Mk. I or II which start: KA and
then another letter denoting color
It's not a MG Magnette Mk. III or Mk.IV which start: GHS1
or GHS2
It's not a 1500 MGA which begin: HD or HM and then another
letter denoting color
It's not a 1600 or 1622 MGA which begin GHN or GHD
It's not a twin cam which begin with YD or YM
It's not a 1100 or 1300 FWD sedan which start GAS, GA2s,
GGS, GG2S.

15GHOH116364 looks more like an engine number. For example,
a 1500 MGA engine starts with:  15GB or 15GD.  However I
can't find any engine which starts 15GH. 15GAH, but not
15GH

Z Magnette's are supposed to have engines BP15GA, 15GAUH, or
15GCUH .
