Remember that the octane requirements are for stock engines. If any work has been done to the engine, such as changing pistons to non-stock, shaving the head, advancing the timind, the requirements could change. Running higher octane in the TD will not hurt the car. In fact, most premium gases have more or better cleaning additives than regular. But, see above, it may not be necessary.
