All I can guess is either:
The PR flacks who put the "factoid" together are ignorant.

They excluded the "Modern Midget" becaue it was originally an Austin
Healey design, that was "badge engineered" into the MG line.

I don't know what they lumped together, or if they left something out

They sure took the time to break out certain models, so I'm guessing
they
must have overlooked a bunch. I would certainly think that the Midget
would qualify for its own count, as it was a model in its own right.
