Hi Dave,
I picked up a GB series engine a year ago in a boneyard. When I rebuilt it
last month I found that I needed a new crankshaft because the crank pulley
journal was scored beyond repair.
Seems the pulley had cracked just at the keyway and the DPO didn't attend to
the problem as soon as he felt the vibration causing irrepairable damage.
I would look into it immediately before you end up with REAL problems.
