I was in the UK last week and noticed that the MGOC
has developed a 2.2L engine for the MGB. They have
built a stoked crank which increases the displacement.
Looked impressive with a stage 2 head (needed to get
the air into the engine), they claim 125hp and 136lbs
of torque. These are dynoed results and not the silly
numbers that BMC came out with !!! Seems like an
interesting alternative to getting more power from
an MGB, don't know about the harmonics though.
No price was quoted
Also GRM had
an article on Pierce who has built a nice fast MGB
which revs to 8500rpm and "will blow the doors
of a Miata".
