Regarding shortening the shift remote control of a 4 synch MGB trans. 4 spd
is no problem. However on the OD trans, the remote control straddles the
lump of the od. Shortening the remote causes the shift linkage to interfere
with the od case. Pity, since this would be a really nice modification for
my MG Magnette.
