I have used both Miata & Fiero seats, both are better than any year stock
MGB seat, both have pros & cons.
Miata seats are easier to get in & out of, as the side bolsters are lower.I
find them the most comfortable on long drives. They can be found in leather,
tan was a factory special option, black was a dealer option. 1997 & older
may have speakers or can be fitted, but 1998 on have a narrower head rest-
no speakers
Fiero seats were at the outside bolsters from getting in & out, & from the
seat belt rubbing, but give the best lateral support for autocrossing &
other spirited driving. Mr Mike has a web site for custom covers (leather) &
I have seen several sets of his seats at various V8 meets, & they are first
class, really great looking.
Both types of seats MAY have speakers & they MAY work. Not all had the
speakers, but they can be added.
Both take a bit of doing to install, but it can be done in a day, no welding
required. If you purchase seats, contact me off list for installation ideas.
