If all the hoses are OK the most likey scenerio is that the top of the gas
tank has developed a leak. It is very common for this to happen. If it is
not too bad, the tank can be boiled out and the hole repaired for much less
money than a new tank. You can slush the tank if you wish. But, the best
thing to do is treat the top of the tank so it won't rust. I use spray rubber
undercoating on the top of the tank before I install it.
