I've had a fan shroud for a couple of years as well. I find it of limited value. My cooling problems occur when cruising above 65 mph for extended periods. I can crawl around town all day in the middle of summer without too much trouble. But at highway speeds the temps get higher than I like. Careful attention to timing and mixture keep it manageable but I think the cooling system is simply unable to keep up with demands put upon it. This is an MGA with an 1800 GB engine and 3.9 diff. I live in South Florida. Someone mentioned something about aluminum radiators. Are these readily available? Expensive? /// /// mgs@autox.team.net mailing list /// or try http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// |
