| Can't really speak to how long your patches will last (you are in a coastal environment, I notice), but the rocker panels are structural on the B, so in the case of the car Carter was looking at, it wasn't a matter of patching, it was a matter of structural replacement. In general, I believe that plastic repairs are considered inferior mainly because they tend to leave opportunities for rust to continue to spread, and in some cases even accelerate it. |
