Electronic Fuel Pumps

As we know,  Burlen Fuel Systems, Su and Zenith specialists,  has been
producing a range of kits to convert our fuel pumps to electronic
actuation. They look identical from the outside and retain the
famous(infamous, if not there) tick,tick,tick. So, just how small is
that tiny tape they have recorded?
Who's tried this conversion and do you recommend?
