Shoulds be no problem. I have a '77 engine in my '70, for now, with a canadian
'68 waiting for rebuild on my floor.
My '77 engine came out of another '70, so I didn't do the swap of the brackets,
but since you have all of the parts for the '76 you should not be short
anything.
