Open the drums and do thorough cleaning.
Check adjustments and check if the shoes are worn.
If no luck - renewal of the slave cylinders maybe the next step.
Did you renew the brake fluid regulary? If not so - do this first - perhaps
dirt has created this issue.
Master cylinder is the most expensive  and difficult job.

Hello list,

  I have a brake problem with my 69 MGBGT. Occcasionally, the brakes do not 
release. It seems to be on the rear brakes only. When this happens, the
pedal 
is very stiff, and I can tell that the rear brakes are still engaged. Master

cylinder? Any suggestions?
