He was supposed to pull over on one of the clearly marked turnouts, posted
"Slower Vehicles Use Turnouts", that's what he was supposed to do (the
****** twit).
FYI Highway 9 is a twisting narrow mountain road through redwood forests,
with a double yellow line (no passing) on its entire length (more or less).
I didn't even flash my brights until the 3rd turnout he ignored... at which
point I'd been following him for almost 3 miles with my lights on.
I pull over for motorcycles on these roads all the time, for instance. A
motorcycle came up behind our little parade, and, having less patience, and
more acceleration and margin for error, pulled out and passed us both
(illegally) after a few minutes. This, however, apparently did not alert the
idiot to the presence of another vehicle behind him. Perhaps the dark tinted
rear window and loud rap music had something to do with it.
Is it coincidental that the really bad traffic offenders I see around here
never have any license plates (just "I bought this truck at Fremont Ford" or
"The Ultimate Driving Machine" placards)?

If you're near Mountain View, CA,
it's the red one with the silver bootlid.
