Myself and 4 other MGB's participated in the Tamaqua Spridget/British
car 100 mile rally today. What a glorious day for a rally. It was a
lot of fun. Kevin Valentine and his family did an outstanding job of
organizing it. We met at Leiby's Dinner at 11:00 for brunch and
received our instructions at 12:30. First car was off at 1:00 with 3
minute intervals. We had several options to choose how to score
points. Scavenger hunt, time covering the course and most clues
answered correctly. 4 B's, 4 or 5 Midgets and 11 or 12 bugeyes/ sprites
participated. The fasted was under 3 hours. We were (78B) about 3hrs.
and 20 minutes and the 6th car in. The course was beautiful, windy,
hilly and dashed with 7-8 mile full throttle runs. What a rush. We
were tired, dehydrated and hot when we finished but the end was at an
ice cream/golf operation that offered refreshment and rest while
waiting for all to finish. Final car arrived around 6:00 fully loaded
with many scavenger items most of us ignored. A group picture was taken
and some drove home while others went back to Kevin's for a party and
news of the winners. I had to leave but did take some pictures. So
I'll get them on tomorrow. I'm fading fast right now!

P.S. The 78B with O/D (connected yesterday after a 2 month wait to
figure out the proper way to wire the new gear shift switch) performed
beautifully!
