Whoops before I get creamed...  

My previous comment was only to point out that "based on" and "looks like" 
are two different things and I woulnd't be too  worried what that MG was 
based on... (i.e. the Mangusta and the Mustang dash).   The MGB hardly looked 
like the Austin Cambridge it was based on!
