Booked the MG ('78 BGT) in for it's MoT on Friday at 2pm. I have given the
car a good check over and not found anything nasty so hopefully things will
be ok. I expect they will find *something* wrong (don't they always?) but
hopefully nothing major. This is the first test since buying the car so who
knows what suprises lurk for me. I am no expert on MGs so I have just done
the usual pre-mot checks (jacked up, pulled wheels around, checked brakes,
lights, etc). Are there any things that MGs usually always fail on? Anything
that I should check before the test. I am thinking about checking the front
shock oil level. Anyone know what emmisions I will need to pass. My 1984
mini is 4% CO and 1200ppm HC (I think). I know that really old cars are
"visible smoke only" but not sure what year the cutoff is.
