Becky,
How sure are you that the alternator is draining the battery? If it has
been tested out O.K., it should be good. When an alternator drains the
battery, it is usually that the voltage regulator inside the alternator has
burned out diodes or the fan belt is slipping and should be replaced. If it
checks out good on the bench test, see if the pulley is oily or the belt is
glazed, which could be caused by slipping and thus not charging the battery
back up.
