The rally was AWESOME! We took first place out
of 11 cars with a highly respectable score -- even for
experienced ralliers! (Read: just a little proud). This
was a 10 stage event; 5 in daylight, another 5 at night.
Total of ~90 miles. We scored an 8 on the daylight
stages and a 3 on the night stages for an overall of 11.
The second place car was in the upper 30's! Great
fun!
The B-GT came up on the starter okay but the rest
of the electrical system is problematic. The lighting
circuit is hosed somewhere because the tail lights come
on as soon as the fuse is put in place. Switch will
regulate the side markers but nothing else. The unswitched
circuit is okay, it seems, but the white 'switched' circuit
is always dead. Time to dig a little deeper under the dash.
Instead of jury-rigging around the open circuit for
a gratifying start-up, I decided to trouble shoot the
electrics before putting things in motion. So the
bottom line of this note, delivered at the bottom, is
that I didn't start up the B-GT this weekend. Rather,
I discovered new but manageable problems.
Best regards,
