I hate to see any CB's destroyed. The Mk1s have really increased in value 
over the last few years, I would have a hard time letting something like 
that go. It does need a lot of work and much money but Think of what you 
would have when done. I think Max is correct in that you should do the 
structural work first, it is the most expensive but also the one to just 
get worse and more expensive as you go. The engine can be dealt with next 
but I really hope you decide to make a decision of the heart and go ahead 
and save this one. Ours was in similar shape, when I went to look at it I 
mentally threw the Porter's over my shoulder and fell in love with it and 
it has been one of the best decisions my wife and I have made. Metal dash, 
wire wheels. OD and that great old british car smell. If you choose to not 
save it at least post it around to the list as someone may be interested in 
giving a second (or third or fourth)chance at life.
