I would agree with Dan, but that's not what I'm posting about. I'm wondering
why he thinks his pull-handle MGB is a 66. I looked this up a while ago when
going to view a carcass that the seller had identified as a "pull-handle 66
MGB", and I found that, according to Clausager, Abingdon changed the door
handles to the push-button type in April 1965. This is certainly before the
beginning of the 66 model year (which began presumably in September 1965 and
certainly not earlier than July). In other words, there are no 66 MGBs with
pull-handle doors (or shouldn't be <g>).
I would guess that Dan's car is one of those 1965 models which failed to
sell until late in 1965 and was registered as a 66. But this doesn't really
make it a "66" MGB.
Dan, what is the VIN of your MGB? Have you tried getting a BMH certificate?
This would settle the question of the date of manufacture.
No knock on your car, I just think it may be more "vintage" than you
realize...

If you're near Mountain View, CA,
it's the red one with the silver bootlid.
