List,
It was a great day. Many of you may remember my '68 MGB saga to date. I've
replaced the carbs, rebuilt the hydraulics (brake and clutch), replaced most
of the front suspension (swivel axles, shocks, springs, a-arms, wheel
bearings). Today I took the car to the alignment shop! Turns out the guy
that did the work once worked in a shop that did nothing but restore MG's.
He had a great time working on and "test" driving the car. Once I picked up
the car I went for a spin, what a rush!!! The car still needs a bit more
tuning but man does it pull. Did 80 MPH and wanted to keep going. What
fun!!! Wednesday I gave my 69 parts car to a local shop that does MG, etc
car work and the owner, a former BL mechanic, promised to help me out with a
complete tuning, values to carbs! Can't wait! My wife is also happy as the
mini van can now more back in the garage.
I would now like to say a very BIG "Thanks" to all who helped in this
effort. All of you who gave advise as I worked on my B aided in both my
learning and my continued enjoyment of my cool and most wonderful car.
Thanks again!
