Interesting point here. Never heard of a ".5" car except the 1974's...
Guess it would depend upon registration date. For example, my 1966 was
built in October 1964 and is a pull-handle car...! By all rights, it
should be a 1965. Also, I think someone on the list has a 1971 car with
the split rear bumper that was "unique" to the 1970 models...? Again, due
to registration date, I believe...
Back to the 74.5 - weren't there actually 3 1974 models? First -
chrome-bumper with chrome overriders with rubber inserts; second - chrome
bumper with all-rubber ("Dagmar") overriders, like Mr Bradbury has; third
- rubber bumper version....? BTW, I thought I read somewhere that the
rubber-bumper 74.5 cars had the chrome-bumper ride height....?
Love this MGB esoterica! It's what makes the hobby so interesting!
